SCIG has been firmly implementing the development strategy set forth by the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Sichuan Provincial Government in boosting innovation-driven growth. It has worked with leading universities, research institutes and Tianfu New Area in driving high-tech industries and new industries with strategic importance. In cooperation with Southwest Jiaotong University, it has founded Jiaoda Guangmang, a high-tech company that has become an industrial base for railway automation and electrification technology. Its SCADA system for power supply on passenger trains is among the world’s top, and its independently-innovated GM series system has applied to all of China’s hi-speed railway lines. Thanks to technological breakthroughs, Sichuan Chuantou Emei Ferroalloy Group Co.,Ltd has gradually transformed from a traditional ferroalloy manufacturing company into a high-tech company and made a turnaround from loss to profit. SCIG has also worked with the administration office of Tianfu New Area to build a bioscience park with an investment of 1.8 billion yuan and promote new growth point for Sichuan’s development.
